Katie Price has told a jury no-one believed her when she said her ex-husband had acted inappropriately with a teenager.

Kieran Hayler is accused of three counts of rape and one count of sexual assault of a then 13-year-old girl in West Sussex in 2016.

Hayler, 39, who was married to the reality TV star at the time of the alleged offences, denies the charges against him.

In a heated exchange at Lewes Crown Court on Wednesday, Hayler's lawyer Arlette Piercy accused Price of "lying" about what happened.

She put it to the former model that she had "been pushing in the background" to get the teenager to come forward.

Price replied: "I said years ago what he had done. No-one believed me. They believe me now.

"He's the liar."

She angrily told the court: "I don't need to be here. You can see in black and white something's gone on.

"I won't have anyone calling me a liar," she said.

Price accused Hayler of being "a wrong'un".

"I know he's done stuff with the [complainant], I got the messages," she continued.

"You shouldn't turn this case against me."

When challenged by Piercy that she kept "going on about it" when she promised not to, the TV personality replied: "Too right – it's disgusting.

"But I never went to the press, never.

"Never once went to the police about it – that was [the complainant], not me."

'Self-medicated on coke'

Price earlier denied being "angry and vengeful" towards her ex-husband.

Giving evidence this week, the television personality said the pair split "amicably" after Hayler allegedly had an 10-month affair with their nanny.

Jurors heard Price chose the nanny because she "wasn't very attractive" in the hope her husband would not cheat.

Hayler has accused his ex-wife of launching a "smear campaign to ruin" him when their marriage ended.

The rape allegations are part of this, the court was previously told.

Jurors heard on Wednesday that Hayler told police in a 2022 interview he was being "set up".

"The thought someone thinks I would do that is horrible, it makes me feel sick," he said.

Hayler told officers Price had "planted a seed" to the complainant.

"Kate would put pressure on anybody," he said. "For her to not have anything on me I think kills her a little bit inside."

After Hayler's lawyer referenced "cocaine and booze benders", Price accused her of "discrimination".

"Everyone knows I self-medicated on coke due to Kieran introducing it.

"I don't care if you are a barrister, you are not going to slander my name like that.

"I don't need to sit here like a therapy session," she said.

The court was previously told Price had messaged the alleged rape victim saying she had heard Hayler had "tried it on" with her.

She added in the message: "I will make you a little star."

Asked about the use of this phrase in cross-examination by Piercy, Price said it was a "figure of speech".

"There's no agenda or nothing behind it," she continued.

Price and Hayler's relationship broke down in 2018 and they divorced in 2021.

'Taken advantage'

Giving evidence on Wednesday, the complainant's former boyfriend told the court she disclosed to him back in 2017 that "something had happened to her".

He told the court that she "didn't want to go into detail".

Asked by prosecutor Ryan Richter if she told him more about it, he replied: "Not really no, I could tell she was uncomfortable speaking about it so I never really pressed her."

Questioned if she ever had given detail on who had "taken advantage" of her, he said it was Kieran Hayler.

The court heard she had first contacted the NSPCC in 2021 over the allegations against Hayler, and was then referred to the police.

She is not part of Hayler or Price's extended families.
