While I don’t buy into the idea that we’re all sat around waiting for our knight in shining Stone Island to get down on one knee, I subscribe to the narrative that diamonds – including the engagement ring kind – are a girl’s best friend.

The diamond itself sits low within a rounded bezel band of yellow gold.

This one goes without saying, but everything that Dua Lipa does is chic. Turns out, though, that her now-husband Callum Turner has equally as refined tastes, as proved by his choice of engagement ring.

Although unconfirmed, I’d speculate from pictures that Dua’s ring is an approximately 2 carat round diamond, set in a demi-rubover style and a thick, solid gold band.

One of the best-dressed couples in Hollywood, Mr and Mrs Zendaya debuted their diamond at the Golden Globe awards earlier this year... and, boy oh boy, it’s a beauty.

Punctuated by an east-west set diamond, the ring is comprised of an (estimated) 5-carat cushion-cut diamond in a distinctive horizontal setting with lightly contrasting silver-toned claws. Elevated, timeless, and undeniably audacious.

As T and T declared on Instagram, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married”. Before tying the knot earlier this summer, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce solidified their emblematic coupledom with a (frankly enormous) brilliant-cut old mine diamond bezel-set in yellow gold with filigree detail work on the side of the band, a piece that feels in keeping with Swift’s own many eras and aesthetic periods.
