Person taken to children's hospital after serious assault in Dungannon

One person has been taken to Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children following a serious assault in County Tyrone.

Police are currently at the scene in Lisnahull Road and have said the public should avoid the area while enquiries continue.

Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said they received a 999 call at 11:08 BST on Saturday, following reports of the incident.

They then dispatched a helicopter crew, three emergency crews, one advanced care paramedic, two ambulance officers and one HART (Hazardous Area Response Team) crew to the scene.
