Police have released CCTV footage of a Burnley woman who has been missing since last week.

The last confirmed sighting of Julie Foster, 63, was heading towards Shakespeare Street in Padiham on Thursday 8 October, at about 13:18 BST, Lancashire Police said.

The force said it was very concerned about her welfare.

Police have described Foster as 5 ft 2 in (1.57m) tall, with shoulder-length red hair, a pale complexion, and a medium build. The footage shows her wearing a distinctive yellow jacket with a black top and leggings, and white trainers. She was carrying a handbag and another blue tote bag over her shoulder.

Police said the force has a team of detectives and officers carrying out enquires in their search for Foster.

They have urged local people to keep an eye out for the 63-year-old and check any CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage for images of her, particularly in Padiham and Burnley town centre on Thursday morning and the early afternoon.

Detectives said anyone who thinks they may have seen Foster, including on buses on Burnley and Padiham routes, to call 999.
