US President Donald Trump’s back-to-back rallies have been providing endless entertainment for baffled viewers.
From bizarre ‘blerp’ noises to praising Nicki Minaj’s behind – as she’s rumoured for the press secretary role – it’s been a whirlwind few weeks.
Now, Trump’s gone on a rant about meat while seeming to back a conspiracy theory that Democratic Senate candidate James Talarico is secretly vegan.
At his rally in Corpus Christi, the 80-year-old politician claimed Talarico was ‘going around to so many barbecues’ in a strange jibe.
Trump suggested the Democrat had got ‘food poisoning’, adding: ‘You ever see him go to a barbecue and he’s trying to show, “I love the meat. Ahhh.”
‘And then you see him – where is he? He’s behind the tent puking. He’s sick as a dog’.

The rumour started after an unearthed speech from 2022, which Talarico had given to an animal rights group, advocating for reducing meat consumption.
He said it was the ‘right thing to do’ in response to concerns about animal welfare and the climate, adding people should ‘only buy vegan products from our local vegan businesses.’
The US President assured supporters that he could never be vegan, saying: ‘I really do like the meat’.
At the same event, Trump also suggested Venezuela could be made the ’51st state’ and that animals ‘jump on’ solar panels and ‘fry’ in a push against clean energy.
It wasn’t only in Corpus Christi that Trump had meat on his mind, though, as he revisited his recent admiration for John Husted’s body – this time he discussed his ‘sausage-like’ fingers.

While in Lubbock, he said: ‘I made the mistake of saying – that I started off by studying his a**.
‘And then I looked at his feet, and they were massive. Then I looked at his hands… He has fingers like sausages.’
He’d previously described the Republican Ohio senator’s hands as ‘like claws’, admitting he had ‘started examining his body’.
‘I didn’t know he was a great athlete,’ Trump had said. ‘And I looked and I watched up and down. I looked at his a**, and I looked at the whole…’
He quickly diverted to Minaj’s ‘beautiful’ bum before returning to compliment Husted’s jawline and shoulders made of ‘steel’.

Husted responded to the presidential praise and said: ‘The president is coming in tomorrow again to Ohio. Don’t worry, I was in the weight room this morning working out. I don’t want to let him down.’
Trump has been attempting to rally support for the Republican Party ahead of midterm elections after a record-low approval rating last week.
Losing control of the chamber could complicate Trump’s plans for his last two years of this term. He cannot be elected for another term after this under the Constitution.
