Princess Eugenie has revealed the name of her new baby girl with a touching tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.
The royal and her husband Jack Brooksbank welcomed their third child two weeks ago in Portugal.
Their young daughter is called Adelaide Elizabeth Annina Brooksbank, Eugenie said in an Instagram post.
The 12th in line to the throne wrote: ‘Named after three people we love and admire past and present, including her Great-Grandmother who we hold close in our hearts.
‘Her name is part of English and Portuguese history, two places we love and call home.’

Eugenie added that the couple have ‘had the most special, cosy and love-filled time’ since Adelaide’s birth.
She is the the couple’s first girl, following sons August and Ernest, with the couple taking time to decide on her name.

In her Instagram post, Eugenie added: ‘Augie and Ernie are already the best big brothers.’
Adelaide, who will not be an HRH, will be born 15th in line to the throne, with their great uncle, the Duke of Edinburgh, moving down to 16th place.
She will also be the 15th great-grandchild of the late Queen Elizabeth II, and the third to be born since her death in 2022.
The new arrival will be the fifth grandchild of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, following the birth of Princess Beatrice’s daughter Athena Mapelli Mozzi in January last year.
The birth was a rare occasion where a member of the royal family has been born overseas, with Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank having a home and other connections in Portugal.
Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank met in 2010 when they were introduced through mutual friends.

The Stowe-educated socialite was a waiter and quickly worked his way up the ranks in hospitality with a job at Chelsea’s Admiral Codrington pub.
He later moved to Piers Adam’s Markham Inn, where he got to know Prince Harry and his best friend Guy Pelly, before Guy introduced him to Mayfair hotspot Mahiki – a favourite haunt of the Duke of Sussex, Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Eugenie’s older sister Princess Beatrice, 30. Here, Jack became manager.
Eugenie and Jack are said to have gone to meet the Queen at Balmoral for Prince Harry’s 32nd birthday in 2016, which is when the monarch reportedly gave her blessing for their marriage.
