Saturday Night Live UK reveals two more star hosts ahead of Season Two premiere

Saturday Night Live UK is returning to our screens for a second season, bringing with it more skits, stars and live musical performances.
The British edition of the popular long-running US variety show first hit our screens in March and, despite many naysayers, received largely positive reviews.
The show, which went on to receive a swell of support from British comedians, saw a range of famous guests, including Tina Fey, Jamie Dornan, Riz Ahmed and Hannah Waddingham.

Its original six-episode run was extended to eight, and in May, it was renewed for a second season.
The second season of the comedy sketch show will premiere on Saturday, September 12, with guest host Jeff Goldblum and musical guest CMAT.
It has now been confirmed that Stath Lets Flats star Jamie Demetriou will host the following week, September 19, with Royal Blood set to take the stage.
The following week, Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg will front SNL UK, with Rachel Chinourri providing the musical entertainment.
And Dimoldenberg is also no stranger to the franchise, having hosted the official SNL50 livestream in February 2025, where she interviewed cast and alumni as they arrived for the celebrations.

The second season will run for six episodes before taking a break and returning in early 2027.
All original cast members will return, including Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young.
Joining them as a new cast member is Freddie Meredith, who has previously acted in shows Big Boys and Such Brave girls.
Meredith, whose casting follows his Edinburgh Fringe debut last month, said signing up to the series was a “no-brainer”.
