Shetland has been hit by flash flooding and a landslide after heavy rain hit the island ahead of a weekend of forecast extreme weather.
The road between Garderhouse and Reawick in the west of mainland of the island has been closed due to a landslide that has blocked the road.
Several cafes, restaurants and shops around in Lerwick were also hit by flash flooding
It comes ahead of yellow rain warnings coming into force for parts of Scotland on Friday morning as Storm Austen moves in, the first of two named storms that will cross the country in the coming days.
A statement from Shetland Islands Council said: "Traffic for Reawick and Skeld is being directed through the Houllmalees and Gruting; work will shortly be under way to clear the road, which is expected to be open within a few hours."
Police Scotland have urged drivers to avoid the area.

Johnny Sandison, who works at the Lerwick Brewery, described the rain as "biblical"
He said: "It was probably the heaviest rain I have ever seen in Shetland in my life.
"When the cars were going past on the road, you could see these massive waves were coming up above the height of the cars themselves."
Kenneth Hughson, who works as a chef at The Dowry restaurant, said their kitchen flooded "within thirty seconds", causing them to lose stock.
"Inside the door, the corridor, just everything. Two inches plus of water within seconds," he said.
Kirsty Semple, owner of Beauty 109 on Lerwick's Commercial Street, said water was "pouring" into her shop.
"We had five towels up against door and it was just not stopping. The drains outside were lifting up and overflowing."
The council said high tides have contributed to flooding around the Esplanade and Harrison Square in Lerwick.
The authority asked motorists to take extra care when travelling.
