Gunners head to Prague as league phase campaign reaches halfway point
LIVE: Slavia Prague vs Arsenal

Arsenal continue their latest bid for Champions League glory in Prague tonight. The Gunners travel to the Czech Republic hoping to remain unbeaten in this season's league phase which is beginning to take shape at the halfway point, with Mikel Arteta's side looking to end the night in the top eight.

Arsenal, so far, have beaten Napoli and Lille - without conceding a goal - and drawn with Bayern Munich - to show no lasting hangover from last year’s agonising final defeat on penalties to Paris Saint-Germain. Having won at the Fortuna Arena exactly 12 months ago, the Gunners are heavy favourites to repeat the trick and should be in good spirits after ending their Anfield hoodoo at the weekend.

William Saliba has recovered from a back injury to hand Arsenal a fitness boost, as such the reigning Premier League champions are almost at full strength against a Slavia side who have not tasted victory in the Champions League proper for 22 matches. Live updates

Rice looks exhausted after his latest bursting run up the pitch. Does he still need to be on?

72 min: Arsenal’s first real attack of the second half sees Madueke shoot straight at Domchak from an acute angle. Perhaps a cross would have been the better option there.

71 min: The game is getting rather bitty with a succession of fouls and players going to ground a bit too easily.

Ayaosi’s night is over as he is replaced by Jurasek.

67 min: Yellow card shown to Declan Rice for catching Sadilek in the face with his hand and then kicking the ball away.

66 min: Arsenal have the chance to counter but Gyokeres gets his pass selection all wrong and Madueke shows his frustration.

65 min: Ayaosi requires a bit of treatment after being caught by Mosquera near the corner flag. Could be a touch of cramp as the Prague winger has run hard all night.

62 min: Two changes for Arsenal as Tzolis and Mosquera replace Eze and Konsa.

Arsenal are playing in this second half a bit like a team that don't feel the opposition are on their level.

They're not wrong, but it's been a bit too casual at times.

Don't need to gift Slavia something that would suddenly turn this into more of a match.

60 min: Safe to say Arsenal have weathered that early Slavia Prague storm. 2-0 lead still intact but the hosts make another change with Konecny replacing Vlcek.
