A mega-dinghy with 230 migrants on board reached Britain overnight.
It is the largest number ever recorded in one small boat, with the previous record of 165 being set just 17 days earlier.
The confirmed 230 arrivals is more than the typical capacity of a Boeing 737 jet.
People traffickers are currently thought to charge around £2,000 per head for illegal passage to Britain. With about £10,000 in assumed costs for the trip, this single dinghy could have made them a staggering £450,000 profit.

It comes after a Home Office source insisted on Friday that Labour's plan to tackle the Channel crisis was 'beginning to bear fruit'.
The overnight arrivals mean more than 900 migrants reached Britain over the weekend.

Last week officials confirmed traffickers are adapting their methods in a bid to circumvent Labour's 'smash the gangs' strategy.
On Tuesday last week, 173 migrants had to be rescued from a single boat after it caught fire.
Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp said: 'This is now beyond a joke.
'The French authorities could easily have stopped a vessel this size from embarking in shallow waters.
'I recently saw for myself French Gendarmes shamefully standing by and doing nothing while illegal immigrants boarded in knee-deep water. 'Shabana Mahmood is handing over £660 million of our money while this happens.
'It's a disgrace.'
The Tory MP added: 'Out of touch Andy Burnham claims there is no problem.
'There clearly is. If he was serious he would adopt the Conservative plan to leave the European Convention on Human Rights and deport all illegal immigrants within a week of arrival. 'Then the crossings would soon stop.'
Reform UK leader Nigel Farage said the issue of small boat crossings should be declared a 'national security emergency'.
At a press conference in central London today, Mr Farage said: 'I’ve always thought the boats would get bigger – I’ve always thought they would.
'And we were pretty shocked the other day. Do you remember 173? That was about two weeks ago if I remember rightly.
'We were shocked at 173. Well, we’re already up by another 25 per cent.
'And yes, the overall numbers this year are down but they’re still horrendous.'
Mr Farage added: 'Yes, we have managed to stop some of the dinghies but it doesn’t stop the problem – it doesn’t go away.
'It is still something that is completely out of control.'
Referring to a single boat thought to have been carrying 230 migrants, he said: “All it needs is four of these boats to be 1,000 people a day.”
On Sunday French police looked on as dozens of migrants climbed onto a boat bound for England off Camiers beach, south of Boulogne, with babies and toddlers among the group.
The youngest hauled on board was a baby who appeared to be just months old. There were a number of other children and women too alongside mostly young men.
Enhanced policing designed to block the traffickers – such as by seizing boats and outboard motors – has seen gangs 'experiment' with using mega-dinghies on the Channel, they said.
They are also deploying co-ordinated dinghy launches from a wider area of the French and Belgian coast in a bid to evade detection.

But despite a 43 per cent reduction in the number of migrants reaching Britain year-on-year there is still the same level of demand for illegal crossings in migrant camps in northern France, it is understood.

A Home Office source said last week: 'Numbers are down, but we are not complacent. This Government is focused on what works – and our work is beginning to bear fruit.'
In the wake of the latest mega dinghy arrival, a Home Office spokesman said: 'This latest incident demonstrates the reckless and dangerous tactics employed by the criminal gangs facilitating these crossings, who continue to put lives at risk by cramming ever greater numbers of people onto unseaworthy vessels.
'We are making progress, with the number of small boat crossings down this year and the lowest number recorded for the month of July since 2020.
'But we must go further, which is why we have signed a payment-by-results deal with the French to put 40 per cent more boots on the ground on French beaches.'
