Internet sensation Maria Morales Tirado has passed away on the very day of her 107th birthday, her son announced.
Tirado, who was known as 'Mami' to the 200,000 followers on her Facebook page dubbed 'Mami is my Attitude 4 a Lifestyle,' was famous for her sage advice, her authenticity and laughter, her love of cooking and gardening and her faith.
Photos on her social media profile often showed Tirado hoeing in her garden, blowing kisses to her followers and hugging them virtually, and bringing playfulness to everyday moments. She was frequently seen giving the hand sign that means 'I love you.'
In one of her last posts in March, she asked followers to 'pray with us for a better society!!'
The beloved influencer died on September 28, her son, Tony Morales, shared in a Facebook post along with glimpses into her life in Yabucoa, Puerto Rico.
'Today I write the words that no child would want to have to write,' Morales began. 'Mami passed away on the same day she turned 107 years old. The date we celebrate throughout our lives as the beginning of her existence was also the day of her farewell.'

Morales wrote that his mother died peacefully at 3:45am and that 'she left as she had lived: under her own terms, calmly and in peace.
'Although she is 107 years old, although we have gray hair, children, and grandchildren, we are still those children who find security simply in knowing that Mami is still there.

'We always want one more day, one more conversation, one more smile, and one hug that will never have to be the last,' he continued.
Morales revealed Tirado had begun to slow down in recent years.
'During her final years, we saw how that body that had worked, sown, cooked, raised, fought, and protected so many began to ask for rest,' he wrote.
But while 'her strength diminished,' she 'never stopped teaching us,' he added.
'She showed us that strength can also be opening one's eyes for one more day, recognizing a voice, shaking a hand, or giving us a small smile.'
Tirado is survived by 14 children, 48 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, and 28 great-great-grandchildren.

'She remains in our words, in our customs, in the recipes we learned by observing her, in the stories we will continue to tell, and in the way we care for our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren,' her son wrote.
'She remains in every generation that carries something of her in their blood, and above all, in our hearts.'
Morales' tribute ended on a heartfelt note: 'We will no longer be able to take your hand or hear your voice, but we will carry you where no illness, no time, and no farewell can reach you: within us… Thank you, above all, for having stayed with us for 107 years and for your last lesson: teaching us that deeply loving also means knowing how to let go.'
Fans responded with their own words of tribute to their beloved 'Mami.'
