A teenage girl has been raped by a man wearing a balaclava after being pulled into bushes, police say.
Officers were called to Newpool Road in Knypersley, Staffordshire, shortly before 08:00 BST on Monday to reports of a girl walking in the area being attacked by a man who had approached her.
She was then grabbed and pulled into bushes, Staffordshire Police said, describing the man as white, around 6ft 1ins (1.85m) tall and wearing a balaclava, black joggers and a black puffer coat.
Specialists were supporting the girl and a cordon had been put in place, they added.
Officers would remain in the area, a spokesperson for the force said, and were keen to speak to anyone with information, including dog walkers who may have been in the area between 07:00 and 08:00.
