A teenager and a man in his 20s have been killed in a multi-vehicle car crash - while three people have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The fatal collision took place on the A246 (Epsom Road) in East Clandon, Surrey, on Friday night.

Three Seat Leons - one white, one black and one grey - were all involved in the devastating incident.

Since then, three people have been arrested over the deaths, including a 22-year-old man from Woking, as well as a 21-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man both from Guildford.

The trio were arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and have been detained in police custody.

The A246 was closed around East Clandon on Saturday as investigators combed the scene for clues.

Surrey Police is appealing for anyone with dashcam footage, or who was driving in the area between 10.50pm and 11pm on Friday, to come forward.

A Surrey Police spokesman said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a fatal collision in East Clandon.

“Officers were called to Epsom Road just after 11pm on Friday, 21 August following a report of a collision involving a white Seat Leon, a black Seat Leon and a grey Seat Leon.

“Sadly, the driver of the white Seat, a man in his late teens, and the passenger, a man in his early 20s, died at the scene.

“Their next of kin have been informed.

“A 22-year-old man from Woking, a 21-year-old woman from Guildford and a 19-year-old man from Guildford have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remain in police custody.

“Epsom Road remains closed to allow officers to carry out their enquiries at the scene. Were you in the area between 10.50pm and 11pm on Friday, August 21? We are asking anyone who witnessed this collision or the events leading up to it to make contact.

“Motorists are also asked to review any dashcam, or helmet cam footage that may have captured all or part of this incident.”
