Tottenham dealt blow as Roberto De Zerbi delivers four-man injury update for Manchester United clash

Roberto De Zerbi has provided an update on the fitness of Jan Paul van Hecke, Micky van de Ven and Pedro Porro ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Manchester United.
Spurs sit rock bottom of the Premier League table and are seeking their first league win of the season as they prepare to travel to Old Trafford on Saturday evening.
The north London club have endured a disastrous start to the season and are set to still be without their first-choice right-back.
Porro has benefitted from the extended international break, flying to Spain to see a specialist to aid his recovery from a hamstring injury sustained during Spurs’ 3-2 defeat to Aston Villa.
The World Cup winner remained at Hotspur Way over the international break, but De Zerbi said that he was still out of action.

“Pedro and [Mykhailo] Mudryk are both not available,” he said.
“Pedro - I think - not for many games, and for Mudryk, something more."
Ukrainian winger Mudryk, on loan from Chelsea, remains out for a longer period with an ankle injury that he sustained in training shortly after making his debut for his new club.
Spurs were dealt a double blow over the international break when Van de Ven suffered a hand injury during the Netherlands’ game against Serbia, and Van Hecke sustained a foot problem that kept him sidelined.
Van Hecke, the summer signing from Brighton, returned early to England to continue his rehabilitation but has recovered in time to face United.
“They are available to play,” De Zerbi said of the Dutch pair. “Micky played four games, 90 minutes. The difference is this, [Van Hecke’s] wife, [had] two twins, emotional aspect we have to consider, but both are available to play.”
Xavi Simons and Wilson Odobert are long-term absentees with their respective ACL injuries.
James Maddison, who has recovered from his own ACL problem, is also in line to feature in Manchester, despite picking up a hamstring niggle earlier in the campaign.
“He is available, but he lost three four days, the end of the last week,” De Zerbi said of his No10.
“Like I said many times, James is a special player but also a personality. But also, Gallagher is playing well the last two games.”
