Arsenal have reportedly made contact over a sensational move for Manchester City striker Erling Haaland following the latest developments in City's financial case, while Julian Alvarez remains a key target alongside Eli Junior Kroupi, Dani Olmo and Ibrahim Maza.
Manchester United are considering another move for Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde and could rival Arsenal and Liverpool for Brentford winger Kevin Schade. Chelsea have signed former Tottenham youngster Leo Black, while Barcelona are weighing up their options over Estevao. As the international break rumbles on, Manchester United are continuing to be linked with both player and managerial targets.
The Red Devils have made a dawdling start to the new campaign despite a summer of heavy spend.
The club’s back line remains in need of reinforcement, and they have been linked with an exciting young right-back on the continent. they have also learned Brian Brobbey’s conditions of sale.
Chelsea deal confirmed
Chelsea have confirmed the signing of former Tottenham starlet Leo Black.
The versatile 20-year-old, who can play as a right-back and in midfield, called time on his 12-year association with Spurs in June.
Black joined Chelsea on trial earlier this summer and made a bright start to life in west London. Two Premier League 2 goals were enough to see him nominated for the division’s September player of the month award alongside his new team-mates Reggie Watson and Chizaram Ezenwata.
Joao Felix wants Europe return
Al Nassr forward Joao Felix has revealed he dreams of returning to Europe, 18 months after calling time on a horribly underwhelming stint with Chelsea.
The versatile Portuguese forward signed for the Blues on a short-term loan from Atletico Madrid in 2023, before returning on a permanent deal the following year. That transfer was worth a reported £46.3m including add-ons, and Felix put pen to paper on a seven-year contract.
He struggled to crack the first-team, though, and left on loan to join AC Milan just six months later, before subsequently being sold to Saudi outfit Al Nassr, where he joined forces with Cristiano Ronaldo and Sadio Mane.
Arsenal told how much defender will cost
Arsenal have been credited with an interest in Stuttgart defender Finn Jeltsch.
Jeltsch, 20, is also said to be on the radar of Real Madrid, thus potentially sparking a bidding war.
Sport Witness have even reported that Stuttgart are now waiting for serious offers, which they expect to happen soon.
The report also states Stuttgart have set an asking price for Jeltsch and believe he is worth €45million (£38.5m).
Arsenal add Ramon to shortlist
Como defender Jacobo Ramon is reportedly at the top of Arsenal’s shortlist.
According to reports in Italy, Ramon is being viewed as a priority target for the Gunners which is why attempts are already underway to secure a deal.
However, Tuttomercatoweb state Arsenal aren’t the only suitor for Ramon.
He is on the radar of several clubs.
Willock set for January move
Besiktas president Serdal Adali has vowed to sign Joe Willock in January.
In fact, Adali has claimed the Newcastle midfielder has already chosen a house in Turkey.
The Besiktas supremo said: "There were players we couldn’t sign in the summer. Our manager wanted Joe Willock from day one, it was Willock, Willock, Willock.
"Nobody knows this, but I brought Willock’s whole family to Istanbul.
"They even picked out a house, and they had video calls with Vincenzo Italiano and Onder [Ozen, the football director] at least ten times. Furthermore, we went to see the player in person twice.”
"He could sign in the mid-season. They asked for £20m. We can sign in January, and I will.
"Joe Willock was the player the coach wanted but was missing. We really need him there."
Man United handed JJ Gabriel warning
Rio Ferdinand has urged Manchester United not to let JJ Gabriel leave as he worries more youngsters could follow him out the door if he does.
It was reported earlier this month that Gabriel had made a shock request to United that he be deregistered, allowing him to leave the club as a free agent.
At 15, he is widely considered to be one of the brightest talents in the country and very highly rated at United. Michael Carrick was reportedly willing to name him in the matchday squad for United’s Carabao Cup match against Brighton earlier this season, but that notion was derailed by his transfer request.
Spurs to scout Argentina youngster
Tottenham and Aston Villa are keeping close eye on Benfica attacking midfielder Gianluca Prestianni.
As per Sport Witness, both clubs have been watching the youngster since the start of the season.
In fact, the report claims they each had scouts at the recent clash between Benfica and Porto and will have representatives following him during this international break with Argentina.
Liverpool maintain contact over Aurelien Tchouameni
Liverpool remain interested in Aurelien Tchouameni despite the midfielder signing a new long-term contract with Real Madrid.
According to TEAMtalk, the Reds have maintained communication with the France international’s camp after previously speaking to Real Madrid about a possible move. Liverpool ultimately decided against signing another midfielder during the summer.
Tchouameni remains committed to competing for his place under Jose Mourinho, but he would not be prepared to accept a purely rotational role at the Bernabeu. Liverpool could therefore revisit their interest if his situation changes.
For now, Liverpool are not actively pushing for a deal, while Tchouameni remains an important part of Madrid’s plans. However, the Reds continue to view the 26-year-old as a midfielder of the required calibre should circumstances change.
According to CaughtOffside, both Premier League clubs are monitoring the 22-year-old alongside Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain, although no formal bids have been made. Costa joined Porto from Juventus in 2025 and made 47 appearances with eight assists in his first season.
Porto have Costa under contract until 2030, with a €65m (£55.6m) release clause. The Portuguese club are therefore in a strong negotiating position should interest develop into a formal approach.
United could view Costa as competition at right-back, while Arsenal are attracted by his versatility and ability to contribute in possession. His strong start to the season has further increased attention around the defender.
