One motorist had a close miss in Barton-upon-Humber when a tree was uprooted and fell on his car bonnet while he was driving on Toft Road on Sunday morning.
Humberside Police said a man was taken to hospital for checks but was not injured in the incident.
Louis Taylor, whose own car was written off in the same incident, said "another two feet [and] he'd have been killed".

"I looked out the window and it was just complete devastation," he said. "My car was completely written off."
He said the tree had been reported twice by his neighbours to North Lincolnshire Council as being unsafe.
A spokesperson for the local authority said the severe weather had caused "exceptionally challenging conditions", and its teams had been working to make public spaces safe and "remove obstructions".
In Hull, several fallen trees were reported, including on Beverley Road and in the city's East Park.
As of 16:00 GMT on Monday, Northern Powergrid said there were 117 properties without power in the Bridlington area and 114 in North Lincolnshire, including in the village of Hibaldstow, near Brigg.

In Lincolnshire, RAF Cranwell recorded gusts of 59mph (95km/h), with Wainfleet recording 56mph (90km/h).
National Grid said that as of 16:00 on Monday there were still 21 properties without power in the Sleaford area.
Near Boston, the Ark Wildlife and Dinosaur Park was closed on Sunday after a tree destroyed a fence in its jungle cats enclosure.
The attraction said the cats were "safe and secure" after being moved to another enclosure. The park reopened on Monday.
