Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will finally be brought face to face at a press conference in London on Wednesday ahead of their blockbuster fight in December.

The war of words between the heavyweight greats is set to ramp up another notch at British Airways ARC in Olympia, as we get set for the next - hopefully defining - chapter in the long-running rivalry that has dominated headlines and column inches for more than a decade now.

It looked like the initial press conference might not go ahead at all and that the fight itself - arguably the biggest ever seen in British boxing - was already in severe jeopardy, just a matter of hours after being officially confirmed last week for December 11 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff.

The involvement of Dana White has proved a major issue amid his ongoing bitter public feud with Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn, who has claimed that it is written into Joshua’s contract that the UFC president and Zuffa Boxing chief cannot be involved in the bout in a promotional capacity.

A semblance of peace has thankfully broken out for now to allow the press conference to proceed in London as scheduled, with boxing fans desperately hoping that there are no further issues that could cause the cancellation of an enormous super-fight that has been so long in the making.

Tickets for Fury vs Joshua will rank among the most eagerly-anticipated for any sporting event seen in Britain in recent memory.

They will sell out extremely quickly, so you will have to act fast when the time comes to secure your place at a fight for the ages.

As things stand, tickets are not currently on sale and we do not have a confirmed date on which they will be made available to buy, or indeed any guidance on price.

The Principality Stadium has a maximum capacity of 80,000, with the fight expected to be held under a closed roof overnight in order to cater for a global television audience on Netflix.

Almost 80,000 fans attended Joshua’s last bout at the venue, his hard-fought points win over Joseph Parker in March 2018 that saw him taken the distance for the first time in his illustrious professional career as he added the WBO title to his unified WBA and IBF straps.

The 78,000 that had watched Joshua’s gruelling 10th-round stoppage of Carlos Takam - a late replacement for Kubrat Pulev - under the Principality roof in October 2017 helped to shatter numerous records for boxing in an indoor venue.
