Urgent appeal to find missing boy, eight, last seen at Notting Hill Carnival


Police are appealing for the public’s help to find a missing eight-year-old boy last seen during Notting Hill Carnival.
The young boy, called Shawn, was reported missing after being separated from his parents at the annual event held in west London.
Shawn was last seen at approximately 4.42pm on Monday, August 31 on Wedlake Street, near to Kensal Road.
He is described as black, 3ft 8in tall, and was wearing black shorts, a black top and a hat.
Commander Charmain Brenyah, from the Metropolitan Police Service, said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for Shawn's welfare due to his young age.
"Notting Hill Carnival is an extremely large and busy event, and officers are carrying out extensive enquiries to find Shawn and reunite him with his family as quickly as possible.
"We are asking anyone who has seen Shawn, or who has any information about where he may be, to contact police immediately."
Anyone who has seen Shawn, or who has information about his whereabouts, is asked to call police immediately on 999, quoting reference 5794/31AUG26.
