A national Remembrance service has taken place in Cardiff to commemorate those who have lost their lives in conflict, with communities across Wales also paying tribute.
Military formations assembled at the Welsh National War Memorial in Alexandra Gardens, Cathays Park on Sunday, where wreaths were laid.
Other commemorations have been held in Gwynedd, Wrexham, Powys and Swansea, among others.
Following Remembrance Sunday services around the UK, there will be further events on Armistice Day, 11 November, when the traditional two-minute silence will be observed at 11:00 GMT.
"We remember all those who lost their lives in service, while also recognising the servicemen and women serving overseas today, the dangers they face, and the demands placed on them and their families," said First Minister Rhun ap Iorwerth.
He added the commemoration would "honour the courage, service and sacrifice of our Armed Forces and veterans to whom we owe an immense debt of gratitude".
Detachments representing the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force, and Cadet Forces assembled by 10:40 for the service.
A gun salute by 104 Regiment Royal Artillery, Newport, then marked the beginning of the two-minute silence at 11:00.
Members of the public also had chance to lay their own wreaths at the memorial following the service.
"At a time of continuing global instability, it is more important than ever that we come together to remember and to offer our steadfast support to the whole Armed Forces community and redouble our commitment to a more peaceful world," ap Iorwerth added.

In Swansea, a commemoration service began at the Cenotaph at 10:30, and a parade from the Builder's Arms on Lower Oxford Street started at 13:30.
It will end at Swansea Minster where the service of Remembrance will start at 14:30.
Services have also been taking place across Powys, including in Newtown, Machynlleth and Builth Wells.
Wrexham's annual service of remembrance began at 10:55 at the war memorial in Bodhyfryd.
Elsewhere in north Wales, a service has taken place at the Cenotaph at Bodlondeb in Conwy, followed by a parade.
The 12-hour Race of Remembrance at Circuit Trac Mon on Anglesey has returned this year, merging motor sports with remembering those lost in conflict.
It was paused while a special pit lane service took place on Remembrance Sunday.
