A rousing Liam Rosenior team talk has gone viral as the ex-Chelsea head coach enjoys a fine start to life as boss of Paris FC.

Rosenior, 42, endured a torrid 104-day spell as Chelsea’s manager in the second half of last season, winning 11 of 23 matches before being relieved of his duties.

He landed on his feet, though, signing on as manager of Ligue 1’s Paris FC in early July, where he has made an instant impact. This being just their second season back in the top flight, Rosenior has the side second in the table and five points clear of next-door neighbours PSG after three matches, with comfortable defeats of Marseille and Nice in the rear-view mirror.

Among the various factors which brought a premature end to his Chelsea career was the dressing room dynamic. It did not take long for reports to emerge suggesting players had lost faith in his tactics and leadership, with scrutiny only intensifying as results slipped.

All smiles: Liam Rosenior has bounced back from his grim Chelsea spell and made a positive start to his new job at Paris FC

That does not appear to be the case in Paris, though.

Speaking to his side via a translator after the 3-0 defeat of Nice, he could be heard saying: “Football is everything. You have to take care of that f****** ball.

“I want us to either keep possession or enter the tackle. Stay concentrated. I do not want us to survive our way through the game and win 1-0. F*** that.

“That is not what we are here for. Play. Go and get the second goal. We scored and then went ‘ok. We are 1-0 up.’

“No, no no. Not now. Not now. The game is 0-0. Go and get the second goal.”

He was seen giving another fiery pre-match speech ahead of the 3-2 defeat of Marseille. A fly-on-the-wall camera in the dressing room recorded Rosenior telling his side how much he trusted them, seemingly inspiring the late victory.

Things will get no easier for Rosenior in the coming weeks, with fixtures against Lyon and his former club Strasbourg next on the calendar.
