Liverpool set to save around £20m following tough negotiations
Bradley Barcola emerges as Liverpool’s top attacking target

Bradley Barcola can make his Liverpool debut as early as this weekend, as long as one crucial condition is met.

The France international has been Liverpool’s priority signing all summer as new head coach Andoni Iraola seeks to bolster his options out wide.

After months of negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain, the Reds have finally reached a breakthrough. It has been widely reported that the two clubs have an agreement in principle on the terms of a deal.

It’s understood that the package will be worth £120million, with Liverpool paying a fixed fee of £100m.

With an agreement in principle now in place, the Reds will look to finalise the final details and then confirm Barcola as their third signing of the summer after Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo.

However, Liverpool are facing a race against the clock to finalise the transfer and have Barcola available for selection against Nottingham Forest on Saturday afternoon.

For Barcola to eligible to make his debut against Forest, he has to be registered by Friday's 12pm BST deadline.

If the Forest game comes too soon, the next opportunity to hand the winger a debut will come after the transfer window slams shut when Liverpool face newly-promoted Ipswich at Portman Road.

The winger could also be in line for a swift PSG reunion as the Champions League holders are potential opponents for Liverpool in Thursday’s league phase draw.
