The starting line-ups for today’s clash between North London Legends and Manchester United Legends are beginning to take shape with more names being added to the respective squads.

A fixture that has been labelled 'Champions Impact in Jakarta: The Rivalry Returns 2026' will renew a classic rivalry between Arsenal and Man United from the late 90's and early 00's when the two teams regularly did battle for the Premier League trophy.

Man Utd, ultimately, won rivalry but that should not take away from how much of a threat the Gunners posed during an eight-year period from 1997 to 2005 when these two teams appeared to have developed a hatred for each other.

As this fixture is a source of nostalgia for fans, particularly in Indonesia, a legends match will take place at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium (SUGBK) in Jakarta on Saturday.

To whet the appetite, some huge names have been confirmed to feature.

Arsenal 'Invincibles' such as Thierry Henry, Robert Pires, Patrick Vieira, Ashley Cole, Pascal Cygan, Nwankwo Kanu and Gilberto Silva will make up the North London Legends side.

They will be joined by players of a more modern-day Arsenal such as Petr Cech, Bacary Sagna, Emmanuel Eboue, William Gallas, Santi Cazorla, Jermaine Pennant, and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Meanwhile, the Man United Legends have recruited names such as Edwin Van Der Sar, Ryan Giggs, Rio Ferdinand, Carlos Tevez, and Dimitar Berbatov to feature.

Giggs scored a wondergoal for United in their FA Cup semi-final replay win over Arsenal at Villa Park en route to an historic 1999 treble, with Ferdinand, Silvestre and Brown very much involved in those early day Arsenal battles.
