A large wildfire has broken out close to an iconic white horse hill figure.
Firefighters are battling a "large fire" on grassland near the Westbury White Horse in Bratton, Wiltshire, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
People have been urged to avoid the area, with nearby residents told to close doors and windows if affected by a "large amount of smoke"
An area of around four acres was found "well alight", the fire service added, with hose reel jets and beaters used to tackle the blaze.
The blaze follows a similar incident near a white horse carving on Hackpen Hill, also in Wiltshire, that the fire service believes was started deliberately.
