Woman dies after crash in Essex Tesco car park in front of shoppers

A woman has died after a crash involving two vehicles at a Tesco car park in front of shoppers.

The collision happened at around 10.30am on Friday, August 21, at the Tesco near the A13 in Pitsea, Essex.

Following the crash, the woman – who was a passenger in one of the vehicles – was taken to hospital with injuries, where she later died despite the efforts of medical staff.

No arrests have been made yet, as police are now appealing for witnesses as their investigation continues.

Officers want to hear from anyone who saw the collision or noticed anything suspicious in the area around the time of the crash.

They are also urging anyone with dashcam footage that could help their investigation to come forward.

Essex Police said: ‘We are appealing for information after a woman injured in a collision in Pitsea last month has, sadly, died in hospital.’

The force confirmed its investigation remains ongoing.
